Alkali-resistant glass fiber chopped strands are made from high zirconium (ZrO₂≥16.5%) alkali-resistant glass. After surface treatment, they are cut into fixed-length chopped strands. They are specifically used to reinforce cement-based materials (such as GRC, prefabricated components, shotcrete, etc.) to improve their crack resistance, toughness and durability.
The zirconium glass content is >16.7%, which can resist the corrosion of calcium hydroxide in cement for a long time, ensuring that the fiber will not degrade in an alkaline environment for a long time, and extending the service life of GRC products.
Crack resistance
—
Added into cement to form a three-dimensional distributed network structure, effectively inhibiting shrinkage cracking, impact resistance and fatigue resistance, especially suitable for thin-walled or prefabricated parts
Dispersibility
—
The chopped fibers do not clump during mixing and are easily mixed with cement mortar to ensure uniform reinforcement and avoid local aggravation or fiber accumulation.
Cement affinity
—
Surface wetting agent treatment enhances the interface bonding with cement paste and improves the mechanical properties and durability of composite materials
Easy processing
—
Can be added dry or wet into concrete, mortar or GRC paste, construction-friendly and adaptable to various processes such as spraying, premixing, and pouring
