MAXGUARD™ GN xxxxxx S gelcoat is based on a special NPG/isophthalic polyester resin. This base resin and its formulation impart excellent mechanical properties and weather resistance to the finished part. Certified by D.N.A. and Lloyd's Register, MAXGUARD™ GN xxxxxx S gelcoat exhibits low water absorption. It offers excellent resistance to water (including seawater) and effectively prevents water penetration and blistering. It also exhibits excellent tensile strength, tensile modulus, elongation, and thermal shock resistance, as well as good resistance to yellowing and chalking. Its high heat deflection temperature (HDT) and tensile properties provide the film with excellent toughness and surface properties.
